iOs 10.0.2 screenshot does'nt work anymore

Last week I installed on my iPhones (5 and 6plus) and my iPad Pro the new software iOs 10.0.2. From this time it's not possible anymore to make a screenshot like before: on/out/standby and then short the home-button. I cannot find an answer in the web. Who can help me?

Thanks

Isabel

I so agree with Kathleen - why do they keep doing this - changing stuff that is NOT broken and forcing users to figure out workarounds that are not as good as the old. Apple over so good but these little things - that drive us all crazy. Did you see what they did to photos - albums are in a totally random order now and no way to put what you look at everyday up at the top. Crazy. Everytime I have scroll down 2 screens to find my PhotoStream I get irritated. So unnecessary if they would just find out what users are using before they just change it.

Hoping the developers read these threads!!

Yes you can ad me to this beef with apple - actually its right across the industry: endless updates with whizz bang "improvements" which alot of the time are mot improvements. this one is actually an ergonomic pain in the arse. Coordinating an exact simultaneous press is very tricky. I

THere is an added dificulty with my otherwize excellent case which makes the on/of button particularly stiff and hard to control the simultaneous execution.

however its also the attitude. its very narcissistic. Rather than the ipad and iphone being background tools to make life easier so that one can get on with the more important things in life more easily these tools now control what you have to spend time on just to ise them: have endlessly evolving learning curves, burdonsome searches for answers (most changes are not readily described and rather are hidden, not knowing if its a chnge or a big in the new update

ANd what about the user who is mildly cognitively impaired, ageing or finds the use of devices daunting? Yes go on Apple make them feel inadequate, waste their time floundering around for answers.

I use my Ipad and phone aot everyday, I have four degrees, hold a post grad dip on teaching, use hundreds of apps and yet are left to stuggle. So how does those who are not so well educated? and why has this problem left to get larger and larger?

IT getes to theoint that update automaticlly downloads, interrupting your work flow for several minute but often over an hour and then your left with having to conform to the whizz bang "improvements", with a sense of absolute frustration, annoyance and a twinge of dread.

I agree with you completely. Those jokers at Apple are not interested at all with stuffing up their customers' experience and frustrations with their so called "improvements". My screen shots was working perfectly fine and that has not changed since I started with my iPhone 3c. Now Apple claimed to have made improvements by giving us a dodgy software update. It reminds me of what HP recently did with their "Security Update" to their wifi printer software. It later transpired that HP added a code to prevent their customers from using printer ink cartridges which has been refilled. That includes refilled original HP cartridges! HP is devious enough to program a code to force their customers to have to buy new ink cartridges!

Now, my question to Apple is what have you done to our devices, which is our property, bought and paid for at an exorbitant price but only work cumbersomely now after you misled us into installing your latest "Security iOS 10.0.2 Update?

It is interesting and somewhat amusing that the forum says my post has the problem is SOLVED! what I wrote about was basically saying this minor but totally annoying example is a problem of the whole way the industry goes about updating: creating problems for customers who are then left to look for solutions, making people with limited cognitive abilities suffer and feel inadequate, forcing customers to relearn new strategies and waste their valuable time in the process

So add to that the complete lack of consultation over decisions to force change on customers behavour.

THis is really bad ergonomics and for a company eith such a strong industrial design heritage it is quite shocking.

it is also just plain rude.

What happened to trialling changes on representative consumer groups (varying ages disabilities etc), beta releases, listening to what consumers take the time to write in forums, opt in or out choices on updates when possible, providing stable updates that don't create uneccessary changes. Change is not always better. It can be quite the reverse.

No Apple you haven't solved this problem or the larger issue with how you are going about your business.

oh and one more thing - start filling out your tax returns-you know what I mean?
